Wholesale-sized bundles of my popular recycled silk sari ribbon.
40 metre (43 yards)/ 100g each bundle.
This silk twine has already seen a productive life in India and comes to me from my longtime supplier in India, who gathers and processes the used saris for me which I then carefully hand-dye in single batches with my all-natural dyes to a beautiful range of colour.
Perfect for minimalist invitation binding, gifting, tying baked goods with something pretty, macrame and a host of fibre craft.
Please note!
To easily work with these bundles, treat them as you would a skein of yarn (otherwise they tangle!) Unwind the skein from the tight twist it arrives in. There will be one spot with a small knot tied to itself to keep it organized, hold the bundle with one hand at that spot, unknot that little loop and then, holding the ribbon up, gently pull off the desired amount of ribbon. If you're displaying it for sale, or wind into a ball as you would a skein of wool. I find it helpful to hang the skeins from a hook to keep them tidy.
