Shipping policy

In this age of Amazon almost-instant deliveries, it is easy to expect that any online purchase will arrive almost at once and that if it doesn’t, something is amiss. But when you buy from a small shop like Nettle & Silk, you are buying something that was crafted by hand, in a careful process that sometimes takes many days to complete. Please bear this in mind when you are planning your purchase.

My orders ship in about 5 business days from the date they are placed. This does not include weekend days. Shipping times, once the order has left my studio, depend on your location but are generally 2-3 days within the UK, 3-5 in Europe and 7-10 for the USA and the rest of the world.

Express shipping with UPS is available by special request and large orders usually ship via UPS.

 

* Orders ship from my studio in England , within 3-5 business days. This means that orders leave the studio in that time period, not that they will arrive in 3-5 days. Please bear in mind that this means if you place an order Friday, the weekend will not count as business days.

* Shipping is via Royal Mail with tracking, or via courier service/UPS for large orders qualifying for free shipping, unless otherwise requested and agreed.

* 1-3 day delivery to the USA and the rest of the world is possible using special delivery and is included in larger orders. Please enquire if you’d like to arrange express delivery.

* Free shipping is included to anywhere in the world with orders over £200.

* Delivery cannot be guaranteed by a certain date unless expressly stated and purchased. Please contact me if that is a concern and I’m happy to set that up for you.

*Some international orders may be subject to import taxes or customs, which I cannot control. These are determined by your country's government and may be collected by the shipping courier at the time of delivery. Your local postal authority will have more information about customs fees, duties and taxes specific to your location.

*Occasionally customs inspections in your country may slow the delivery of your order. We have no control over this and are not responsible for any such hold ups.
