Which Ribbon Should I Choose For My Cake?

I'm not sure of the exact stats but I get asked with some frequency about using silk ribbon on wedding cakes, so I thought perhaps a short piece might help someone making that decision.

This beautiful, simple cake, by Annie Pugmire - @annies.c.a.k.e.s on Insta - is a great example of a style I am asked about a lot. The big. blousy bow? Love it!

In this case Annie used a 4" silk ribbon in Toinette, which you can find here to create this lovely look. The 4" width is a good choice for a ribbon that will make a good bow that'll hold up for the duration of your celebration and the silk really adds an extra luxe touch to your decor.

In addition to this, choosing an a natural fabric made with all-natural plant dyes is a great idea for anyone wanting to bring a non-toxic and eco-friendly vibe to every aspect of their celebration!

Looking for a more subtle style, maybe something like this? (found on Pinterest with no credit but if you know whose work this is please drop me a line so I can add one!)

That's a one inch wide ribbon and you can find a similar shade of pretty grey here

If you have other questions or need different colours, please feel free to reach out! I'm happy to help
